Or How the West Wasnt Won. Compiled from photographs of our trips into the desert region around Las Vegas, this painting shows us looking very touristy as we pose before a varied landscape of strange red rock formations and misty blue hills.

The temperature was well in excess of 100F and I am standing there without a sunhat appearing to melt into the landscape, while Joans handbag seems completely out of place in this setting.  Stacey balances precariously between us and turns her head awkwardly for the photographer.   Certainly not pioneers this trio.  Just fleeting visitors before a vast and timeless land.
