A player has changed into his playing strip and is mentally charging himself up for the most important game of his life.  In a few moments he and his team mates will leave the dressing room and run out onto a vast stadium packed with 100,000 chanting fans.

His face is basically expressionless as if in a trance. The eyes appear fixed on a distant unseen object, the mouth is neither happy nor sad.  Beads of sweat  have already appeared on the brow and indicate the turmoil of emotions within.  So too the hand over the heart.

Ahead lies a time of extremes.  Most of us never want to go there but prefer to stay within our comfort zones.  This person is already well outside his. Such are the requirements of a shot at fame and glory.
